Public accountability
To support water service providers in delivering safe and reliable services, the Queensland Government maintains a performance reporting framework, which requires annual reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
The Queensland Government approached Truii to design and build a dashboard to communicate and compare the performance of Queensland’s 77 water providers, according to the annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) reported to the department by water service providers.
Following comprehensive user experience research, listening to the concerns of providers and agency staff, Truii designed and developed Queensland’s Urban Water Explorer – an interactive web-based application that allows users to explore, visualise and compare data from urban water and sewerage service providers (service providers). It includes information about service delivery, water supply security, demand management, customer service and other key areas, allowing transparency across the water sector. The Explorer groups service providers into similar size and type to allow for fair side-by-side comparison.
