Over the last 18 months there has been an increasing narrative using the words ‘natural capital’.

For decades we have talked about natural resources, nature and the environment. However, increasingly there is more consistent use of the words ‘natural capital’.

But what does it really mean?

A textbook definition of natural capital can be defined as the renewable and non-renewable resources, such as air, water, soil and land, that we derive environmental value from. So, in essence the resources that are here in front of us, that for many can be taken for granted.

So, we created Truii Conversations to explore this topic.

Truii Conversations brings together conversations from farmers to Agronomists, NRM CEOs to Economists to discuss all things natural capital.

Hosted by Kathy McLeish (Senior Journalist and ABC producer) and joined in conversation with Dr David Waters (Truii’s Natural Capital Lead). Listen as they are joined by industry experts to share their views on the opportunities, risks and big picture thinking for their sector.
